Every command returns one JSON envelope and a typed exit code, so an agent acts and knows exactly what happened. It branches on ok and error.code instead of parsing prose, and a plan gate tells it to stop rather than retry forever. reepl schema hands it the whole command tree up front.

No. The API only addresses posts published through Reepl, so reepl comment works on your own Reepl-published LinkedIn® posts by their Reepl post id. Pass a public LinkedIn® URL and the CLI tells you to use the Chrome extension instead, which is what handles commenting on arbitrary posts. On X and Reddit you can reply to any post by URL.

No. reepl post create defaults to a draft on every platform. Nothing publishes unless you explicitly pass --publish or --schedule. Gated actions return a typed PLAN_REQUIRED or PREMIUM_REQUIRED rather than failing opaquely.

reepl login opens the Reepl web app, then posts your verified credentials to a one-time localhost callback without putting them in the URL or browser history. The callback closes as soon as the credentials are saved, returning you to your shell. Credentials are stored privately in ~/.reepl and refreshed automatically. For headless or CI use, pipe credential JSON to reepl login --credentials-stdin so secrets stay out of process listings and shell history.

reepl schema prints the entire command tree as JSON: names, arguments, options, and subcommands. It is generated from the live command tree, so it never drifts from what the binary accepts. Use it instead of scraping --help.

Use the MCP server when an agent lives inside a chat client like Claude or ChatGPT. Use the CLI for scripting, CI pipelines, and agents that shell out to a subprocess. Both are built on the same api-core contract.
