Was Kleo really shut down by LinkedIn?
Yes. In June 2025, LinkedIn shut down Kleo, which had approximately 70,000 users at the time. Users lost access to the tool and any workflows built around it. Kleo has since relaunched as Kleo 2.0 with AI writing features, but the shutdown highlighted the risks of using tools that operate in ways LinkedIn may not tolerate. Reepl is Chrome Web Store verified and uses a non-automated approach specifically designed to stay within LinkedIn's guidelines. The shutdown is a matter of public record and should be a factor in any evaluation of LinkedIn tools.
